Many exercises, much feedback, many opportunities to ask questions.
Besides the many useful tips & tricks, this training gave me the right mindset to stand in front of an audience with more pleasure during my next presentation.
Klein Barnum , practice in small groups for fine insights for great presentations.
The actor's approach fascinates me enormously and makes the course and its subject matter much more real and applicable. What is taught comes across naturally.
Immediate use, instant results!
By far the most interesting formation ever, with tips you can immediately apply in your work. Thank you!!!
Dare to try and learn from your mistakes
2 super instructive days! You go home with a lot of practical tips and tricks that you can get to work with. Congratulations to Paul!
Clearly conveying the subject matter.
Excellent teacher who delivered the training with great passion and commitment. Very practical programme and equal attention to all participants.
Very informative and pleasant training that I can recommend to anyone who has to speak in front of an audience. Top!
Thanks to Klein Barnum's course, this subject really comes to life and I have been given very concrete tools to become a better speaker.
Paul applies himself what he preaches, the many exercises and small group make it almost a personal coaching.
Heel concrete, toepasbare tips. De korte presentaties die de deelnemers voortdurendVery concrete, applicable tips. The skill is taught by learning relatively simple techniques that make a world of difference. But above all: by doing it! No endless modelling, but real practice.
Very practical, applicable techniques. Pleasant and (inter)active atmosphere.
I should have done this 20 years earlier! If only I could turn back the clock and redo my career with the tips from this two-day event. I am starting to catch up.
At the start, I thought, oy, what a small group to learn to speak in front of an audience, there were 5 of us in total, but because of the seating arrangement, you still had the impression of a 'room' during practice: which was the strongest point at the same time: I could practice a lot and received a lot of feedback from Paul Carpentier, and thus learned a lot...
You gain insight into your own positive/negative characteristics through continuous interaction. A strong point is also the provision of different perspectives on presentation techniques.
The course lives up to its promise!
Really good training (of course with small group, was almost individual)
Hands on training with concrete tools that can be used immediately in the day-to-day professional context.
I found the theatre method very effective! It was challenging, but that's what real learning is about.
Being yourself is your greatest asset as a speaker.
I thought I could already present quite well in front of a large audience, but actually you rely on your intuition. This programme gives you concrete tips and working points that you can apply immediately.
The teacher engages his audience and holds their attention for a long time; is motivated, 'real', inspiring ...; loves his subject and radiates this also ...; feedback is constructive and he is also open to reactions/comments from the audience.
Short theory followed by practice. Very concise syllabus with only key words, but which immediately make you think about pitfalls and specific techniques to be used.
An incredibly strong teacher. My high score is not from laziness, but sincerity.
An enormously fun, interactive and enthusiastic two-day course that does not bore but simply fascinates!
The interactivity. The exercise. The professionalism of the trainer.
Thanks to Klein Barnum's training, I have gained more confidence and am stronger to present.
The experience from the theatre gives the training a special and friendly atmosphere in all areas. It is nice to work from a different angle.
The teacher applies what he teaches.
Direct practice, good structure of the 2 days, very experienced teacher brings it in such a way that we all participate.
Out of the box and practical approach to presenting.
Enthusiastic, understandable, substantiated.
From conversational technicity to pure conversational psychology
To the point, very applicable, summarised tips, small groups.
A groundbreaking workshop delivered by a very experienced and sympathetic teacher.
You are given a number of useful tools that you can apply immediately; you experience the positive change immediately.
During Paul's 'public speaking' training, I went in 2 days from feeling: 'I'm a bit reluctant to speak in front of a group' to 'I enjoy feeling the connection with my audience and delivering the story'.
Speaking in public can become an enrichment after training by Klein Barnum.
Speaking in front of an audience is organising the "thinking together"!
An absolute must for anyone who ever converses with another living being.
This should be standard training within the DEME Group. All great speakers started as nervous rookies too.

SPEAKING IN PUBLIC
Exercises from the theatre mindset …
During this workshop the trainer throws, as your personal director, his theatre experience in the battle to awaken the speaker in you. You will work all day with concrete techniques, used by actors in theatre.
Little by little you will acquire the insight and skills to purposefully play and control your audience. You become a thinking speaker, where your authenticity and personality remain the most important criteria.
Because this is perhaps the best news: you can learnit!
What can you expect?
Dag 1 - the basic techniques
You will practice on concrete, manageable techniques. The individual coaching and feedback guarantee an improvement of your speaker's skills:
- Paying attention to body language
- Working on eye contact
- Playing with silence and rhythm
- Building in surprise effects
- Adapting tone and volume
- Choosing an original approach
Day 2 - communicate your intentions
You will learn to combine the techniques of day 1, so that you eventually fill in your role differently as a public speaker.
You will no longer speak in words, but in clear ideas and intentions that you share with your audience, by:
- Learning to control your Subtext (both spoken and unspoken messages)
Furthermore, you learn to control the following, more external aspects:
- Powerpoint
- How to handle difficult questions
For whom?
Now take the time for this in-depth 2-day workshop if you want to ... speak during major events or corporate presentations, training, reporting to a Management Committee or score with customers presentations …
